Deleting your account

Account deletion is permanent. All your resumes, cover letters, tracker entries, notes, and account data are removed and cannot be recovered.

Before you delete

  • Download any PDFs you want to keep — exported resumes are not recoverable after deletion.
  • Copy any Tracker notes you want to preserve. There's no bulk export, so copy them manually.
  • Cancel your Pro subscription first if you're on a paid plan. Deleting your account doesn't automatically cancel a Stripe subscription. Cancel from Account → Billing before proceeding.

How to delete

  1. Go to Account from the sidebar.
  2. Find the Delete account option in account settings.
  3. You'll be asked to confirm — a verification email will be sent to confirm the deletion is intentional.
  4. Click the link in the verification email to complete deletion.

Your account and all data are permanently removed after confirmation.

After deletion

  • You cannot sign back in — the account no longer exists.
  • If you had a Pro subscription and didn't cancel it first, contact support with your email and invoice details so the subscription can be ended.
  • If you change your mind, you can create a new Resuque account at any time, but no previous data will be there.
